My worldview is difficult to describe in a sentence. And I hate to clarify it, because I know it sounds mad. But my ideas are good and vivifying. So I persist.

My view of humans is Nietzschean. Some are meant for servitude; they fear agency and culpability. A few are meant to lead—they are kings in temperament. Societies are ideal only when those who are rulers by disposition wield power over natural slaves. They should use their position over the mass to direct it toward creating wonders. Wonders often take the form of artistic achievements and grand engineering projects.

I call this attitude pharaonic because the pharaohs directed their slaves to construct the pyramids and creating burial works. In so doing, they imparted a legacy to themselves and their people that would not have existed. Their idea of power’s purpose was similar to mine and ennobles those who participate in it. Yet no world leader is pharaonic. We are all poorer for it.

I want pharaonic leaders to emerge. Their emergence will impart meaning to their subjects and produce real products that prove their eminence.

The new pharaohs will require skills for gathering and directing the hordes of wanderers in the desert of the real. I enumerate them here and link to guides that will be useful for a modern pharaoh.
